During the Central Western Championship Saturday 21 February 2004 a fire that started on a neighbouring property brought the shoot to a dramatic end. Several ranges were destroyed or badly damaged including the scorers shed. Thankfully the club house and range 5 the indoor air pistol range survived.

It took many months of hard work from many members to rebuild and repair the ranges. A new scorers shed was built along with many improvements.
