The Orange and District Pistol Club member took out the Women’s Sport 25m event at the NSW ISSF State Championships in Cessnock on the long weekend to win the trophy.

Australia will host the World Championships, which are held every two years, in 2013 in Perth.

04/05/2011: Central Western Daily: FIVE of Orange’s finest pistol shooters have taken on Australia’s best and shone, confirming the Orange and District Pistol Club’s place as one of the nation’s premier clubs.
Dean Brus, Davey Oates, Max Wicks, Lara Cowling and Helen Lord represented New South Wales at the 54th ISSF and Pistol Australia National Championships in Adelaide last month.

21/01/2011: Central Western Daily: GERMAN world champion Ralf Vanicek will be passing on his wealth of pistol shooting knowledge to Orange’s finest at the Orange Pistol Club this weekend. Vanicek, who has 37 world and precision pistol competition titles to his name in the 13 years he has been competing at the highest level, was brought to Orange by Pistol Australia to conduct practical courses.
