Dave Oates has won the 2013 Orange Sports person of the Year award.
Dave's 2013 list of achievements include:
- Three NSW & two ACT individual state titles
- Australian Championships, WA1500 Pistol Gold, WA1500 Revolver Silver & Bronze in service pistol and unrestricted service pistol. Dave also won three team Gold medals and one silver
- WA1500 World Championships, Pistol Australia team Dave won individual Silver WA1500 revolver and Gold in the international team pistol
